Webinars
A series of open participation virtual departmental seminars on current research in geoelectromagnetic and related research given by leading academic, government and industry researchers and educators. The seminars may be viewed on your computer desktop for individual participation, or if you prefer they may be viewed through computer projection facilities if you wish to incorporate OpenEM.org seminars in your own research group or department's regular seminar series. The seminars are suitable for graduate and upper division undergraduate level students, researchers and faculty.

1) You may download "Cascadia MT Seminar 6-1-10" in m4v format; this is the format native to iTunes, and it contains mp4 video. Free players for .m4v video files are widely available. This seminar was presented as part of a joint Oregon State University/University of Oregon Cascadia Seminar series describing the geology and geophysics of this NW US convergent margin region. The .m4v file contains a full length talk presented by Dr. Gary Egbert of Oregon State University, where he describes magnetotelluric investigations of Cascadia, in particular results obtained through 3D inversion of EarthScope MT transportable array data. The file is 1.3 GB in size, so prepare for a lengthy download and do not attempt to download if you do not have a broadband internet connection! The file is copyright (c) 2010, Oregon State University, and available for free distribution for non-commercial use.
